AVOID SHOES THAT ARE TOO TIGHT

Posted: 09.25.2017
Fashion doesn't need to be uncomfortable. Footwear that is too tight may injure your feet. The American Podiatric Medical Association cautions that tight shoes may cause the development of bunions, corns and ingrown toenails. They may also lead to hammer toe, in which the middle toe joint curls, or crossover toe, in which the second or third toe crosses over the toe next to it. People with diabetes who have foot nerve damage need to be especially careful to wear shoes that fit well; shoes that are too tight may cause foot sores.
