BOOST TESTOSTERONE

As men age, they sometimes experience a reduction in testosterone. Low testosterone may be linked to erectile dysfunction or urinary problems. Weight gain and low testosterone are also connected. According to new research, losing excess weight may help boost testosterone levels and improve erectile function. Researchers assigned half of a group of overweight men to a low-calorie, low-fat, high-protein diet or a low-calorie, low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet. Both groups lost about 23 lbs. and had a rise in testosterone levels. Erectile function also improved in both groups in men who had some dysfunction before the study.
