CHOCOLATE MAY BOOST ATTENTION

Eating some dark chocolate may help improve attention, according to a recent study. About 120 young adults were tested using electroencephalography (EEG) technology to see how they responded to eating 60% cacao chocolate. Researchers found that when participants consumed the chocolate, their brains were more alert and attentive. Other studies have suggested that dark chocolate is a vasodilator (meaning it opens up blood vessels) and if eaten in moderation could help lower blood pressure over time. Chocolate that is less than 60% cacao would probably not have the same benefits.
