CONTROLLING BLOOD SUGAR

Posted: 05.24.2017
According to a new study, going for a short walk after each meal may help control blood sugar in those with type 2 diabetes better than going for one long walk each day. Researchers had participants either walk for 10 minutes after each of their 3 meals or walk once a day for 30 minutes, for two weeks. Then they switched their routine for the next two weeks. When they measured blood sugar control, they found it was markedly better after the post-meal walks. Further study needs to be done to see if longer post-meal walks would yield even greater benefits and better overall blood sugar levels.
