FEBRUARY IS HEART MONTH
Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States.
As with men, women's most common heart attack symptom is chest pain,
tightness or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to
experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of
breath, nausea/vomiting, cold sweats, feeling lightheaded, back or jaw
pain, and unexplained fatigue or weakness. For some women, symptoms may
be present a month or so before their actual heart attack. If you
experience symptoms of a heart attack, call 911 immediately!
