LOWER YOUR STROKE RISK

Adequate sleep and regular exercise may help lower the risk of stroke. Researchers analyzed data on 300,000 adults and found that those who regularly got seven to eight hours of sleep a night had a 25% lower risk of stroke. Researchers added that among those who got both sufficient sleep and regular exercise (30 to 60 minutes, 3 to 6 times a week) the occurrence of stroke was less than 1.2% of the group compared to 3.1% of the other adults. The study results also showed that those who slept more than eight hours were 146% more likely to suffer a stroke.
