MELATONIN MAY CURB MIGRAINES

Posted: 05.11.2017
Melatonin may help reduce the frequency of migraine headaches, according to a new study. The study involved 178 adults who regularly experienced migraines. The participants followed one of three treatment regimens: standard migraine medication, melatonin or a placebo, each taken before bed for 12 weeks. The melatonin group had a reduction in the frequency, intensity and duration of their headaches comparable to the medication group, but with fewer side effects. If you get migraines, talk with your doctor about melatonin.
