TIPS FOR BETTER SLEEP

Stay active. Exercise expends energy, increases levels of feel-good hormones (endorphins) and helps regulate body temperature, which all contribute to better sleep. Avoid alcohol, caffeine and heavy foods right before bed. Adequate sunlight during the day helps to regulate your body clock, as does having regular sleep and wake times. Practice relaxing activities before bed such as meditation, prayer, reading, listening to soothing music or stories, or even a warm bath. Use your bedroom for sleep and intimacy, not for watching TV, internet surfing or email. Keep your room cool, dark and quiet at bedtime.
